Remote Files SE can run as a stand-alone application without the administration module. This application provides all server functionality of the program as well as a service. It also works in noninteractive mode as it is described in this article. |

To start a stand-alone server run ‘mserverapp.exe’ that is located in the directory with the program. When asked, confirm starting server by clicking ‘Yes’. Stand-alone server has no main window. It works until system is rebooted. To close it logout active Windows user, or use main window of the program, or kill it by ‘Ctrl+Alt+Del’ (it is rather safe, because the stand-alone server very randomly opens important files (configuration, etc.) for writing and forced close can not harm them).
There is one requirement to use the program without administration module. Before you start ‘mserverapp.exe’ alone, run it at least once from the main window. The program needs to configure it at first start. Otherwise, ‘mserverapp.exe’ finishes working just after start.
