My Remote Files program uses https secure connection, so it is much more protected than FTP connection. It has authorization mechanism based on user name, password and optionally IP address. The program allows several simultaneous connections with one user name and different access to different folders for different users.

My Remote Files has one more advantage that may not be visible at first sight. Let’s imaging. You create an online file archive. And for evolution purposes you allow upload files to your server. Then if someone decides to corrupt your file archive by uploading wrong file with the same name as existing, program will save new one with different name. And, of course, possibility of customization of server interface should be mentioned here. All files that the program uses to communicate with remote user are stored in ‘serverroot’ subfolder of the folder where it is installed to. In addition, you can skip (if you want) authorization procedure by providing direct link to authorization script with user name and password fields fulfilled.
